Monarch Butterfly Phase 3 Replanting

On February 27th, nearly fifty volunteers from Boy Scouts of America, California Fish and Wildlife Service, staff, and school community volunteers completed Phase One of the school’s restoration project. On April 16th, the District and school community partners completed the second stage of the project by planting a variety of native California shrubs, flowers, and other plants.

On September 19, 2016 Volunteers from California and Fish and Wildlife Service and members of Mrs. Mitchell 4thgrade class completed the final stage of the project by replanting a variety of native California shrubs, flowers and other plants , thereby creating a habitat for Monarch butterflies.
